Air Canada rewards breakdown

The TD Aeroplan visa infinite card is excellent for Air Canada vacations, Air Canada Flights & in-flight Air Canada Purchases. From the Air Canada website, you can quickly redeem with Aira Canada for holidays, flights, hotels, car rentals, and more. You can use a combination of Aeroplan points and cash to buy Air Canada Vacations.

Since Air Canada reacquired the Aeroplan program, they are making it easy and better than ever to redeem Aeroplan points for Air Canada flights. Aeroplan points are worth different amounts in terms of dollars, depending on what you redeem them for:

Fees

The TD Aeroplan visa infinite credit card has an annual fee of $139, and additional cardholders will cost $75 per cardholder. This annual fee is on the higher end; however, you can receive a yearly fee rebate for the first year if you activate your credit card and make your first purchase within three months of activating your account.

This card will charge you interest at 20.99% on purchases and 22.99% on cash advances. These rates are in line with most major credit cards and issuers. As always, best practice includes paying off your credit card balance in full to avoid interest charges and build your credit history.

Welcome bonus points

The TD Aeroplan visa infinite credit card has one of Canada’s best Welcome bonus offers. You can earn 55,000 Aeroplan points for signing up by May 28, 2023. It is important to note that specific qualifications exist to earn these Aeroplan points:

By completing these three welcome bonus offers, you can earn 55,000 Aeroplan points, with a value of up to $1,500. The $5k bonus Aeroplan points and $7.5k anniversary bonus points are harder to earn but help rack up the savings. Especially useful if you will be making these purchases anyways.

Ways to redeem points

Aeroplan rewards can be redeemed from Air Canada and the Aeroplan rewards eStore. This lets you make purchases to save for an Air Canada flight, Air Canada Vacation packages, & purchase items from great partnered retailers like Bestbuy, Amazon, Apple & Dyson.

As you can redeem Aeroplan points for more than just travel, this card has great versatility and is used for everyday purchases. Ensure you check the conversion of one point to its dollar equivalent to get the most out of your points.
